Congratulations to our new Prime Minister, Ethan Johnston and our new First Deputy, Ty Hetchler!
SHSS is very excited to see what this year will bring under your leadership! Congrats to Muskaan, Reece and Ereka who all ran excellent campaigns.

SH is proud of all its student leaders!

Student Council Vote:

Watch these videos! Electing your student council is an important way to have your voice heard at SHSS. Selecting students who will uphold our values, represent you, organize activities and act as a liaison with our staff is very important. We have some amazing candidates this year. Watch what they have to say and be ready to vote on Friday morning!

Grade 8 Orientation:
We are very excited to open up our doors to you on Wednesday, September 1st from 2:30 to 4:30. This is an "open house" orientation time where students can get their timetable, find their locker and get it set up for the school year, locate their classes and have a good look around our learning spaces. There is no formal presentation or gathering - just time for everyone to get their bearings - so feel free to come by anytime between 2:30 and 4:30. Some grade 12 students and many teachers will be here to help get everyone feeling comfortable.

When you arrive, please come in through the cafeteria entrance by the bus loop. Our greeters will meet you there and direct you to our Activity Room where all of the information you need can be collected.

Parents, this is a great opportunity for your child to start exploring the school on their own. However, if you would like to join them, please feel free to attend. We ask that you sign in as visitors and complete the Daily Health check at the cafeteria doors.

Please remember to wear a mask, to sanitize your hands and to skip the event if you are feeling unwell. And if you can't attend due to previous plans, no worries! We will be able to get everyone up to speed on the first day of classes.

On behalf of the graduating class of SHSS, THANK YOU to all of our generous grad sponsors! Your donations of scholarships and bursaries change lives and make dreams come true!

FlipGive - A message from your PAC

Help the PAC raise funds for SHSS by doing NOTHING....... Except spend on the things you need via FlipGive!

FlipGive is a team funding app that can earn SHSS cash for the things you’re already buying online. No fee, no hidden costs and it is totally legitimate. Every penny you earn for the SHSSPAC team through FlipGive is invested right back into our school.

Check out the “how to” info sheet below which explains the simple process step by step.

Please share this fundraising opportunity with family and friends. Any questions, please email shsspac@gmail.com
